Job Title: Civil Engineer Solar Projects

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to oversee the planning, design, and execution of civil works in utility-scale solar power projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality construction in compliance with industry standards, safety guidelines, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Site Survey & Feasibility:
Conduct site visits, topographical and geotechnical surveys.
Analyze soil reports and recommend foundation types for solar structures.
Design & Planning
Prepare and review civil layout designs, including land grading, roads, drainage, fencing, and foundations.
Coordinate with structural and electrical teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
Execution & Supervision
Supervise civil construction activities at the solar project site including excavation, levelling, piling, RCC works, cable trenches, inverter station foundations, boundary wall, and approach roads.
Monitor quality and safety compliance in all civil works.
Verify and approve contractor bills and work progress reports.
Vendor Management
Float RFQs for civil work, evaluate offers, and coordinate with contractors/vendors.
Oversee subcontractors to ensure timely completion and adherence to design and quality standards.
Coordination
Liaise with internal design, procurement, and project teams.
Interface with clients, consultants, and third-party agencies for inspections and approvals.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Diploma holders with relevant experience may also be considered)
Experience: 28 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in solar or renewable energy projects.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of AutoCAD, STAAD Pro (optional), MS Office
Familiarity with BIS, IS codes, and other relevant civil standards
Understanding of civil design principles in solar farms
Soft Skills
Strong communication and coordination skills
Problem-solving ability and adaptability to site conditions
Attention to detail and result-oriented approach
Preferred Experience
Experience in utility-scale solar projects (10 MW and above)
Understanding of government and private solar EPC contracts
Exposure to large infrastructure or renewable energy projects
