Role Overview
The Associate, Venture Strategy will support in evaluating CEOs, founders and high-growth companies for international expansion opportunities and executing structured pathways across key markets (US, Europe, MENA). The role blends consulting-style problem solving with ecosystem engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct deep market studies for Europe, US, & MENA regions
- Evaluate company readiness for cross-border expansion and structure expansion roadmaps.
- Coordinate with VCs, legal, tax, banking, and immigration stakeholders to execute setup and compliance requirements.
- Build and maintain standardized playbooks, templates, and SOPs for recurring expansion journeys.
- Support fundraising readiness: pitch deck refinement, investor mapping, and outreach planning.
- Drive ecosystem engagement with founders, VCs, accelerators, and partners to unlock opportunities and introductions.
- Support DG initiatives and programs (DGEMS, eXtrefy, founder mobilisation, roundtables) through planning and execution.
Must have Experience (At least two)
- Minimum 1+ year of relevant experience, with exposure to the following:
- Business consulting / strategy (structured problem solving, research, client-ready deliverables)
- Fundraising (pitch decks, investor mapping, outreach support, fundraising process exposure)
- Startup ecosystem (working with founders, accelerators, VCs, communities)
- International business setups (cross-border entity setup, structuring, compliance coordination, or advisory support)
Three must have Skills
- Great communication skills
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and fast-moving environments.
- Good understanding of the startup ecosystem landscape
