Role Overview – Pre-Sales Associate
As a Pre-Sales Associate, you will work towards mapping customers requirements, proposing commercially viable solutions, and supporting the sales team in closing opportunities.
The role involves working closely with the sales team on proposals and pitches and helping qualify and close sales opportunities. You will be actively involved in the lead-to-closure cycle for sales opportunities, including preparing responses to RFIs and RFPs and managing vendor risk management processes. For vendor risk management, the role requires close collaboration with the risk team.
Additionally, the role entails supporting demand generation processes and, over time, taking ownership of the demand generation function.
This is a newly created role within the pre-Sales team at Oxane Partners, designed to support the needs of a growing business. The pre-Sales team is responsible for supporting sales conversions by leading the process in close collaboration with the sales team.
The role sits within the growing Sales and Marketing team and provides exposure across various facets of B2B pre-sales and sales processes.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Preparation
- Support product demonstration set-ups and continuously enhance them in line with platform development
- Support sales efforts by building in-depth expertise in allocated areas
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends through proactive research
Demand Generation
- Craft compelling sales campaigns and outreach strategies to generate Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
- Manage the internal CRM for various sales opportunities
Designing Solutions Offering
- Coordinate with different stakeholders and internal teams to obtain required support for creating solution offerings
- Craft relevant and impactful sales pitches to support the sales team's efforts
- Take an active role in developing value propositions, product/service positioning, and addressing change management challenges associated with sales
Sales Pitch
- Manage the bidding process by responding to RFIs and RFPs
- Collaborate with in-house and external design teams to develop effective pitch presentations and collateral
- Ensure successful execution of Proof of Concept (PoC) projects
- Deliver and support product demonstrations for prospects and clients
Risk & Marketing Support
- Work closely with the risk team to manage and own vendor due-diligence processes
- Synthesize inputs from sales pitches to support the marketing function
- Support the creation of marketing collateral for handled areas and pitches
Required Experience / Skill Set
- Excellent oral and impeccable written communication skills
- A sharp eye for building sophisticated PowerPoint presentations, with the ability to visually represent complex concepts and ideas
- Self-driven attitude with the ability to drive growth initiatives by working closely with sales and marketing teams
- Experience working with European and US clients would be highly valued
- Strong attention to detail and a research-oriented approach to sales
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Experience in pre-sales or business analysis (or a strong desire to build a career in this area) within a B2B setup, preferably in financial services or technology organizations
- Proven expertise in developing effective sales presentations and pitches
- Strong commercial acumen, including an understanding of complex B2B sales cycles
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision and significant scope for independent action
- MBA from a top-tier institution with a minimum of 2 years of industry experience
- Prior experience in BFSI, capital markets, alternative investments, or private markets would be highly valued
