Job Description

Job Purpose

As an FX and Rates Derivatives Structurer, you will be a key link between trading and sales, responsible for designing, pricing, and executing complex derivative solutions. You will work in a fast-paced environment requiring seamless coordination across regional desks (India/Singapore) to provide institutional and corporate clients with tailored hedging and yield-enhancement products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pricing & Analysis:
    • Maintain high standards of accuracy and speed in pricing FX and interest rate products, including forwards, swaps, and exotic options and related derivatives
    • Deliver market colour and technical views on underlying pricing parameters (e.g., volatility, forward points, and yield curve movements) to stakeholders
  • Risk Management:
    • Execute external and internal deals at appropriate market levels while adhering to the desk's risk appetite
    • Identify and communicate relevant risk sensitivities to traders books to ensure effective portfolio hedging
  • Trade Execution & Collaboration:
    • Partner with India-based traders and Singapore product teams to structure and offer competitive derivative products
    • Engage with the Sales team and Interbank market makers to secure optimal pricing for live derivative trades
    • Manage the end-to-end deal lifecycle, ensuring smooth closure and accurate, timely trade entry into risk systems
  • Sales Empowerment & Training:
    • Act as a subject matter expert to train the Sales team on new product structures, pricing mechanics, and evolving market views
    • Develop client-centric materials and pitch books to facilitate product marketing
  • Reporting & Governance:
    • Oversee and update monthly MIS for deal execution, providing clear analysis of P&L drivers and performance
    • Address all queries related to trade reporting and internal audit requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree (e.g., Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Physics, Economics, or MBA grad)
  • Experience: 1-3 years in a derivatives structuring, trading, or specialized sales role within a global or top-tier regional bank
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Deep understanding of FX and Rates products (IRS, CCS, NDFs, and Options)
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Python or VBA for automated pricing tools is a plus
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management skills to navigate diverse teams across India and Singapore; ability to perform under high pressure during live market volatility
