Job Description

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Design according to applicable GEA standards and/or customer specifications, in accordance with international and/or local regulations and directives.
  • Develop custom made designs by using GEA standardized solutions.
  • Study the design and set up of P&ID's, create 3D drawings of the installation, calculation of the required materials (BOM) monitor and discuss the project design and project planning.
  • Setup the basic P&IDs for the project by using the GEA building blocks
  • Knowledge of skid-based component design is preferred.
  • Check the specifications, requirements in order to create a correct bill of materials for the project
  • Correct preparation of all items to be ordered by procurement (from the various BOM lists.
  • Check incoming drawings of main equipment items i.e. vessels, units, coolers, compressors, condensers etc.
  • Provide technical support to sales engineers and support during the sales process i.e. preliminary layouts and schematics
  • Keep track of and stay within project planning calculated budget and CAD engineering hours.
  • Actively report to the Manager Mechanical Engineering regarding work related issues.
  • Transfer and apply learning experience from completed to current and future projects using standardization and transfer of knowledge
  • Safeguard knowledge by guiding and coaching colleagues within the project teams and the engineering departments.
  • Provide technical support and solutions to GEA offices worldwide
  • Follow internal and external developments within the discipline (mainly on CAD programs and piping)

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • (Bachelor) Degree/Diploma in mechanical engineering with 3 - 8 years of work experience
  • Willing to pick up a study in FMCG technology
  • Knowledge of CAD systems (Plant 3d, Inventor, Vault Pro, AutoCAD-Mechanical)
  • Able to read P&ID's and design accordingly
  • Experience in MS Office
  • Excellent communication in English language – written and oral
