POSITION OVERVIEW:
To lead the flavour manufacturing process, testing, and approval of tobacco and capsule flavours. As a role holder for the flavour manufacturing head, liaise with the flavour development team to ensure the commercialisation of new flavours with an end-to-end perspective, ensuring alignment with consumer preferences, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing capabilities to deliver quality product.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan raw material, liaise with domestic and international suppliers along with the HO purchasing team to ensure RM stock as per the norms
- Ensure the manufacturing plan meets the divisional volume plan
- Ensure that the manufactured flavours meet the quality tests and sensory needs
- Dispatch flavours to Units, and ensure that the flavour inventory is maintained as per norms
- Oversee scale-up and transfer of flavour formulations from development to manufacturing, ensuring process reliability and product consistency
- Ensure all flavour ingredients comply with local and international regulatory and safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Development, Quality, and Regulatory, to drive project success
- Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements to implement best practices in flavour manufacturing
- Work on encapsulated flavour shell material development
- Work on encapsulating new flavours for capsules
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of formulations, analytical results, sensory data, and project milestones
- Mentor and guide junior technologists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
MSc. Polymer Chemistry or B Tech Polymer Technology
- - specialisation on chemistry, materials science, and engineering, covering topics like polymerisation techniques, structure-property relationships, and industrial applications
