Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate (UG):
- B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / any Electrical or Electronics discipline
Postgraduate (PG) Preferred (any one):
- M.E. / M.Tech in Electrical / Solar / Renewable Energy
- or
- MBA in Power / Energy Management / Project Management / Construction Management
Experience
- 1 5 years of relevant experience in renewable energy projects
Job Summary
The Associate / Deputy Project Manager will support the Project Manager in planning, engineering, procurement, execution, and handover of renewable energy projects, including Solar, Wind, Hybrid, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The role will assist in ensuring adherence to quality standards, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Knowledge in Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects.
- Conduct site surveys and assist in reviewing Feasibility Studies and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for Solar / Wind / BESS / Hybrid projects.
- Support basic and detailed engineering activities for renewable energy systems.
- Understand customer requirements, assist in defining project scope, and help develop comprehensive work plans with clearly defined activity sequences.
- Prepare and update detailed project schedules with appropriate resource allocation.
- Coordinate for regulatory approvals and support in obtaining statutory clearances on time.
- Assist in contractor and sub-consultant selection, ensuring alignment with design requirements, lead times, quality standards, and budget.
- Support the procurement process by coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure quality and performance.
- Track and monitor contractor and sub-consultant performance to ensure adherence to quality, schedule, and budget.
- Review and support validation of procurement, inspection, and testing plans, ensuring contractual and budgetary compliance.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Sales, and Commercial teams to manage scope changes, time extensions, and cost variations with customers.
- Participate in regular project review meetings, monitor progress, and assist in implementing catch-up plans to address schedule delays.
- Prepare periodic progress reports, update clients as directed, and assist in reviewing and certifying contractor invoices/bills.
- Capture and track contractual changes, tax/law updates, and support evaluation of claims from contractors/sub-consultants; recommend inputs for necessary modifications.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships within the internal team as well as with clients and vendors.
