CALL FOR POSITION: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - PUBLIC POLICY

Location: Chanakya University, Devanahalli, near International Airport - Bengaluru

Position Overview:

The School of Law, Governance and Public Policy invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor in Public Policy. We are seeking a scholar-practitioner with a strong academic background, teaching capability, and research interests in public policy and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Teach core and elective courses in Public Policy and related fields

Conduct and publish research in relevant policy areas

Mentor students and guide research and field-based projects

Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects within the University

Engage with policymakers, civil society, and external stakeholders

Support academic administration, curriculum development, and program operations

Organize and contribute to seminars, conferences, and policy events

Preferred Areas of Expertise: Applicants with expertise in the following areas (or related fields) are encouraged to apply:

Public Administration and Governance

Political Economy

Social Policy and Development

Economic and Regulatory Policy

Environmental and Climate Policy

Qualifications

PhD in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a related discipline is mandatory

Master's degree from a globally recognized institution preferred

Strong research and publication record (or demonstrable potential)

Experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods

Familiarity with statistical tools such as STATA, SPSS, or R (preferred)

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to impactful teaching, research, and institutional development
