Job Description
FOR THE POST OF ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Essential Qualifications
- A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the discipline of Law or relevant/allied concerned discipline.
- A minimum of eight years of full-time approved teaching experience and / or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution
AND
- A minimum of seven (07) research publications in Scopus, peer-reviewed or UGC-CARE listed journals;
AND
- Minimum Research Score of 75 as per the criteria specified in the UGC Regulations
FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
- Master's degree in Law (LL.M.), either of one-year or two-year duration, as recognized by the University Grants Commission, with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University recognized by the University Grants Commission, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University; and
Besides fulfilling the above qualification, the candidate
shall have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission or the CSIR,
or a similar test accredited by the UGC, such as
State Eligibility Test (SET) / State Level Eligibility Test (SLET).
Provided that the applicable SET / SLET shall be considered as per the State in which the institution is located.
OR
- The candidate has been awarded a Ph.D. degree in Law in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, and their amendments from time to time, and shall be exempted from the requirement of NET / SET / SLET.
Desirable
- Ph.D. with a minimum of two years of teaching/research experience
- Presentation of at least two papers based on Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by UGC / ICSSR / CSIR or similar agencies
- Evidence of published research work in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals; published work may include books, research periodicals, Ph.D. guidance, consultancy projects, and patents filed.
