About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Manual Tester with strong analytical and testing skills to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications, preferably within the e-commerce domain. Exposure to automation testing tools and frameworks will be considered an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing for web and mobile platforms.
- Validate end-to-end workflows
- Identify, log, and track software defects using standard bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Ensure testing is aligned with business goals, timelines, and release cycles.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, documentation, and best practices.
- Support automation team by identifying test cases suitable for automation and assist in test script validation if needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing of web/mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect life cycle, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Understanding of e-commerce application testing would be nice
- Familiarity with SQL for backend validation and data testing.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and communication skills.
Good to Have
- Working knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python/Java/JavaScript for automation support.
- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
- Exposure to performance or security testing
