Job Description

The Digital Solutions Business Systems Analyst supports Alcon's digital transformation initiatives by implementing and maintaining enterprise applications such as Planisware and ProCal, supporting master data management, and enabling effective system usage. The role provides business support, tracks KPIs, and ensures smooth operations of assigned digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

System Implementation & Support

  • Implement and support assigned applications such as Planisware and ProCal for R&D and operational needs.
  • Perform routine tasks supporting department operations and software applications.
  • Triage user support requests via ServiceNow, providing Level 1 business support and troubleshooting.
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately while tracking resolution and maintaining service KPIs.

Master Data Management

  • Create and manage master data within assigned applications (users, resources, organizational structures, labor rates, parameter lists, etc.) to support business operations.
  • Monitor standard application processes and batch jobs to ensure smooth functionality.

Business & Technical Collaboration

  • Assist in managing application documentation, including system configurations, processes, and standard business workflows.
  • Participate in demand management processes to capture and document requirements for system enhancements or modifications.
  • Collaborate with application teams on configuration, testing, and user acceptance testing activities.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track KPIs and application metrics to ensure service standards are met.
  • Support reporting and visualization using Tableau, Power BI, or other BI tools.

Key Requirements / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or science field.
  • 35 years of experience with Planisware (required), ProCal, or enterprise application support.
  • Experience with enterprise applications, MS Office (Excel preferred), and BI/reporting tools (Tableau or Power BI).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and geographies.
  • Ability to work effectively with personnel across multiple countries and time zones.
  • Experience with JavaScript is a plus.
