Job Purpose
To support the HMS in the day-to-day functioning of the hospital by coordinating clinical and non-clinical services, ensuring policy compliance, and facilitating efficient delivery of healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the HMS in managing day-to-day administrative and operational activities.
- Support the implementation of quality assurance initiatives and accreditation standards (e.g., NABH, JCI).
- Coordinate effectively between clinical departments and hospital administration to streamline operations.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical protocols, and applicable healthcare regulations.
- Conduct induction sessions on general medical services during HR onboarding.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation of new RMOs (Resident Medical Officers) and PAs (Physician Assistants).
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date duty rosters for RMOs and PAs to ensure adequate shift coverage.
- Maintain a tracker for consultant leaves, marketing activities, and conference attendance.
- Act as a liaison between the HMS and various clinical, nursing, and paramedical teams.
- Conduct monthly KPI audits for RMOs and present the findings in Quality Review Meetings.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for all RMO and PA-related incident reports, and ensure timely implementation and documentation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Organize and support emergency preparedness initiatives, including mock drills and response protocols.
- Actively participate in hospital meetings, internal audits, and facility rounds to monitor performance and compliance.
- Coordinate and conduct monthly Mortality & Morbidity Committee meetings and weekly Tumor Board meetings.
- Provide real-time operational support during crises, emergencies, or mass casualty incidents.
- Coordinate with visiting consultants to ensure timely submission of invoices for payment processing by Finance.
- Liaise with the HR department to keep all visiting consultant contracts and MOUs up to date.
- Assist in planning and execution of Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions and hospital training programs.
Qualifications
Education: MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS with MBA in Hospital Management or MHA is a must.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years
