Responsibilities
Liner Coordination & Support
- Act as a daily operational touchpoint for shipping lines and their appointed agents.
- Coordinate vessel schedules, port cut-offs, stuffing plans, and container availability.
- Assist in allocation management for export stuffing and facilitate slot utilization.
- Track ETA/ETD, rotation schedules, and communicate updates to internal teams and customers.
B. Documentation & Process Handling
- Ensure timely submission and verification of documentation required by liners (Shipping Bills, VGM, EIR, LOI).
- Support in DO (Delivery Order) validation for import cargo.
- Coordinate for checklist corrections, BL amendments, and correction approvals with liners.
- Maintain daily documentation logs, vessel reports, and compliance records.
C. Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Support CHAs, freight forwarders, and exporters/importers with liner-related queries.
- Address documentation discrepancies, slot issues, and container-related concerns.
- Build rapport with liner representatives to improve service coordination and response time.
D. Operational Coordination
- Coordinate with CFS/yard teams for container placement, stuffing priorities, and movement planning.
- Monitor container inventory, damages, empty acceptance, and release procedures.
- Coordinate with transporters for timely placement and evacuation of containers as per liner instructions.
E. Reporting & MIS
- Prepare reports related to liner performance, slot utilization, stuffing status, and volume handled.
- Track vessel-wise liftings, pendency, and release movements.
- Highlight operational exceptions, delays, and risks to the Liner Relations Manager.
F. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to liner-specific SOPs and operating guidelines.
- Follow safety, documentation accuracy, and operational compliance standards.
- Support audits, reconciliations, and internal governance processes
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Slot allocation utilization percentage.
- Timeliness and accuracy of documentation.
- Query response and issue resolution TAT.
- Reduction in vessel miss-outs or delays.
- Customer/liner satisfaction levels.
- Compliance with SOPs and audit standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field.
- Diploma/Certification in Shipping & Logistics is an added advantage.
- 58 years of experience in CFS/ICD/port operations, shipping line coordination, or freight forwarding.
- Understanding of EXIM processes, vessel operations, and liner documentation.
