About the role:
Signzy is scaling rapidly and we re looking for a candidate to join our legal team, who shall be
reporting to our VP- Legal & Regulatory. This position will interface with internal and external
stakeholders and involve ongoing legal support for global technology contracts, advising on emerging technology issues and other matters relating to the company.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting, negotiating and finalizing contracts promptly, ensuring that contract execution is tracked to evaluate the companys performance metrics. The jurisdiction of contracts shall be India, US and UAE. Also, ensuring appropriate due diligence of customers before onboarding.
- Overseeing and contributing to the contract delivery lifecycle including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing agreements to ensure simplicity and protection of Signzy s interests.
- Ensure compliance of new products and features with laws and policies. Support product and business teams with regulatory compliance query and assist the business team understand permissible use cases for each product according to regulatory guidelines.
- Having a thorough understanding and being updated about the frameworks, circulars, and operating guidelines created by RBI and other financial sector regulators in relation to business of the company.
- Handle regulatory reporting and compliance for Signzy and its licensed associate entity.
- Guide product, engineering, design, and other teams in developing new products and features to ensure they protect end-user interests, address policy considerations, and comply with relevant regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Indias data protection framework and developments, including Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- Engage in policy discussions on emerging regulatory frameworks through industry associations and direct responses to draft laws and regulations.
- Assist in applying for relevant regulatory licenses, manage the process from start to end, and ensure compliance with license terms and reporting requirements.
- Handling patent portfolio of the company (India & US), in coordintation with external IP counsels
- Monitor KYC processes, identify potential risks, and stay updated on regulatory changes in this area.
Eligibility:
- Post qualification of 2-6 years.
- Law degree from an established and reputed college/ university.
- Candidates with prior experience of working at a law firm shall be preferred.
- Fair understanding of transactional / fintech technology and related issues.
