Key Responsibilities

  • Trade Processing & Confirmation
  • Process institutional equity and F&O trades executed by dealers and traders on NSE/BSE.
  • Match and confirm trades with custodians, fund managers, and counterparties within prescribed timelines.
  • Prepare and verify contract notes and trade files before submission.
  • Settlement & Reconciliation
  • Ensure timely settlement of trades as per T+1 norms.
  • Coordinate with custodians, clearing members, and depositories (NSDL/CDSL) for smooth settlement.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of client trades, funds, and securities.
  • Monitor pay-in/pay-out activities and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Client & Custodian Coordination
  • Liaise with institutional clients (mutual funds, PMS, FIIs, insurance companies, etc.) for trade and settlement-related queries.
  • Coordinate with custodians and clearing banks for trade confirmation, settlement status, and reporting.
  • Ensure all instructions and client communications are properly recorded and followed up.
  • Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure all activities adhere to SEBI, NSE, and BSE regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain proper records for audits and inspections.
  • Assist in preparation of daily/weekly/monthly MIS and regulatory reports.
  • Support internal and statutory audits by providing relevant data and reports.
  • Systems & Process Management
  • Operate and update back-office systems (e.g., LD, ODIN, NSE/BSE Trade Files, CDSL/NSDL).
  • Validate data entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimize errors.

Key Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • NISM Series VII (Securities Operations & Risk Management) certification preferred.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in back-office operations, preferably in the institutional segment of a stock broking firm.
  • Good understanding of equity and derivatives markets, settlement processes, and regulatory norms.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in back-office software (e.g., LD, Tally, or equivalent systems).
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and data reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with NSE/BSE systems, NSDL/CDSL processes, and custodian file formats.

Behavioral Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive attitude.
