About the Role:
Collins Aerospace is seeking a passionate and driven
Associate Manager to lead our
Power & Controls TechDocs Team. This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong background in aerospace documentation and a proven track record of managing high-performing teams. You will oversee the development of industry-compliant technical manuals and engineering documentation that support the maintenance and operation of aerospace components.

What You'll Do:
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of technical writers, illustrators, portal administrators, and engineering documentation support professionals.
- Ensure timely delivery of accurate, clear, and compliant technical documentation aligned with aerospace standards such as ATA100, iSpec 2200, and S1000D.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications to support manual development.
- Champion process excellence by implementing LEAN, CORE methodologies, and RLPM practices.
- Develop and execute team competency frameworks and individual development plans to support long-term capability building.
- Drive departmental performance including objective setting, recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and career development.
- Create a team culture focused on ownership, accountability, and innovation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support business development initiatives and project execution.
What You Bring:
- 812 years of relevant experience, ideally in the creation of aerospace maintenance manuals or engineering documentation.
- Strong understanding of Power & Controls systems is a distinct advantage.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams while managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Deep familiarity with aerospace standards, documentation tools, and industry best practices.
- Self-motivated, forward-thinking, and comfortable working in dynamic environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in project management or business development roles.
- Strong passion for team building, continuous learning, and process optimization.
