Overview
This role will support the new product costing team through the provision of end-to-end product
costing and standard cost management in SAP
Responsibilities
- End-to-end product costing and financial new product set-ups.
- Standard cost management within SAP on a day-to-day basis and at year end for multiple plants, responsibility for key monthly GCS Controls around Standard Costing.
- Key stakeholders include Supply Chain and Finance to ensure delivery of accurate costings, right first time and on time ensuring that we are delivering world class data.
- Manage phased costing, working closely with Supply Chain to solve any issues and drive process improvements.
- Collaboration with the Commercialization teams to ensure accurate and timely setups.
- Lead continuous improvement agenda within the team, work to develop robust solutions and implement same.
- Provide financial analysis for product costings, working in close collaboration with stakeholders to deliver preliminary cost analysis
- Tracking final costs of new innovations against preliminary financial analysis to understand variations & provide insightful cause of change analysis to leadership stakeholders
Qualifications
- Ideally a professionally qualified with 3+ years PQE in a high-volume multi-national manufacturing environment.
- Strong financial skills, excellent communications and problem solving
- Excellent Communication & Influencing Skills particularly within global multinational working environments - key to be able to influence non-finance teams
- Experience in a high-volume multinational manufacturing environment
- Strong systems experience - Microsoft Business applications, and SAP experience.
- Excellent Excel skills a necessity.
- Excellent understanding of product costing systems and variances
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deliver on key priorities
- Committed to quality with the drive and determination to fulfil objectives within deadlines. Initiative and a high degree of self-motivation are essential
- Ability to identify issues on a timely basis, identify an action plan to resolve issues and influence others to implement the action plan. An appetite for continuous improvement and adding value to the business
- Strong analytical skills are required to review ingredient and supply chain data to translate into insightful recommendations.
