This role is part of Alcon's Sales & Sales Support function, a team that helps provide access to products across all channels in an effort to drive customer satisfaction with eye care professionals to help people see brilliantly.

The Associate II, Vision Care General Field Sales & Account Management (Professional Path) is primarily responsible for developing and integrating account-specific forecasts for sales and operations planning, enhancing demand forecasting accuracy, and maintaining product history and promotional demand. You will apply advanced knowledge and skills to achieve objectives through self-directed work. Specifics include:

  • Develop, integrate, and provide account or brand-specific forecasts for internal sales and operations planning
  • Maintain and manage product history, accurate forecasting, and promotional demand
  • Determine appropriate algorithms for statistical forecasts
  • Analyze internal demand stream information and categorize according to demand patterns
  • Align sales and marketing intelligence for each operating unit for use in forecast systems
  • Incorporate replenishment data, point-of-sale data, sales promotion information, marketing plans, manufacturing capacity, and new distribution/product deletions into planning
  • Interact heavily with sales organizations, national sales accounts, marketing, research and development, and related forecasting and planning groups
  • Assist in improving demand forecasting accuracy for both internal and external customers
  • Support Field Sales and Account Management operations at Alcon Company

Job Description Summary : Channel Sales: Distributors (Life Sciences) work includes:

  • Selling the organization's products to distributers
  • Selecting partners, signing contracts, and ensuring sufficient supply in the area of responsibility Collecting the payment and supervising distributor timely payment
  • Monitoring and coordinating goods flow from distributor to hospital and to other distributors

Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure implementation of sales plan and achievement of targets as per set objectives in territory assigned.
  • Ensures coverage as per defined Beat Plan and calls as per defined Sales Call Process and execution of Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly initiatives in consensus with the manager
  • Manage Alcon's relationship with assigned customers end to end for meeting Monthly Sales Targets & Business Plan Agreement Targets and take appropriate action to drive consistent growth
  • Manage & deploy all Sales Inputs (Trials, Collaterals, POSM etc.) as per instructions
  • Propose and work with relevant stakeholders (Manager, Professional Affairs, Marketing etc.) for promotional programs
  • Efficient execution of Sales & Marketing programs and analyzing that these effectively contribute to sales numbers for assigned territories.
  • Gather competitor's info (promotions, launches, organization changes, etc).
  • Coordinate with RDS / supply network for smooth functioning on timely supply / exchange / return requirements and report on any deviations from agreed norms.
  • Facilitating any consumer concerns, damaged products return etc.in liaison with manager
  • Provide market/sales feedback and complete all necessary reports within the stipulated time frame
  • Responsible for adverse event and product complaint handling related activities at a local level including the collection, intake and forwarding the information to the Local Vigilance Representative).
  • Adherence to all corporate compliance guidelines & corporate programs by self and team.

  • Preferred Qualifications/Skills/ Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum Graduate ; MBA / Marketing Diploma optional
  • English (Essential), Hindi, Local Language (Marathi)
  • For Non-Optometry Graduates - Minimum 2-5 years frontline sales experience in an organized FMCG / Telecom / Consumer Goods / Eyewear company
  • For Optometry Graduates Minimum 3-6 years of professional experience, compulsorily in Field Sales / Retail Sales
