What You'll Do

Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. As a standalone company, the Mobility business will be more focused and agile, creating exciting opportunities for employees to grow, innovate, and help shape the future of mobility. The separation reflects strong confidence in the Mobility team and positions the new company as an employer of choice in the automotive and commercial vehicle industry.

The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

This position is part of eMobility Product engineering team responsible for delivering ME design responsibilities in Emobility producs portfolio. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for working with their engineering manager and cross functional teams to deliver on project requirements. Incumbent will work closely with teams located in various locations in the U.S, Europe and Asia to deliver on programs.

  • Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for an Associate Engineer ME eMobility.This position will be based in Pune, India.
  • The Major responsibilities for this role ME : design and develop eMobility Products to meet product requirements including safety, reliability, and conformance to standards.

Perform detailed design engineering using CAD platforms such as Creo 7.0, AutoCAD etc.

Design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.

Perform GD&T & Tolerance stake up analysis for eMobility product designs.

Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.

Provide manufacturability perspective for early concepts and help validate through building appropriate designs. Assist with building prototypes that help in proof of concept and work with external vendors/suppliers

Ability to Analyze and predict design performance using Simulation tools, Analytical Skills etc.Should adopt 8D approach for failure analysis.Prior experience of commercial vehicle product development process at system and subsystem levels is preferred.

Qualifications

B-Tech/BE

0-2 Years

Bachelors degree in Mechanical with industry experience of over 0-2 years in product design ,drawings and CAD modelling

Skills

3D modeling and drawings, GD&T, Tolerance stackup, Engineering design calculations, Risk analysis & assessment (DFMEA)

Position's main focus will be to prepare technical design details & drawings in compliance to drawing standards as per industry standards and prevailing engineering practices for eMobility.

Creation of 3D models and drawings of the new product designs and modification of existing product drawings and models.

Working knowledge of CAD tools such as Pro/E Creo, Solid works, CATIA and AutoCAD, assembly, detailing to prepare CAD models and complete detailed design/drawings.

Utilizes understanding of manufacturing processes to improve new and existing designs & acts as a technical resource for internal / external customers and resolves technical challenges



  • Good communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written are necessary with an ability to make necessary status reports, technical presentations to Eaton management and global stakeholders.
  • Learning Agility Quick to learn, agility to understand different engineering disciplines. Drive consensus and enable decision making
  • Efficient Uses appropriate tools, analytics and model-based designs based on situation; Understands risks and possesses ability to derive actions
