OverviewThe Head of Holistic Cost Management S&T will play a pivotal role in shaping PepsiCo India's enterprise-wide cost transformation agenda. Reporting to the CSTDO, this leader partners with the CFO and business heads to define and execute the long-term cost strategy that drives financial resilience, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth and work on white spaces and transformational projects that will fuel our aggressive business growth ambition.
The role integrates digital platforms, analytics, and strategic decision-making to deliver structural productivity improvements, unlock new sources of value, and enable data-driven enterprise performance. It ensures that PepsiCo's global digital ecosystem (e.g., SAP, B2B, analytics tools, automation platforms) is strategically leveraged not only to optimize costs, but to redefine how the business operates, invests, and grows profitably.
Responsibilities- Define and lead PepsiCo India's enterprise cost strategy, ensuring alignment with global productivity objectives and long-term business growth imperatives. Work on white spaces and transformational projects that will fuel our aggressive business growth ambition
- Develop and execute a multi-year cost transformation roadmap that integrates process redesign, digital tools, automation, and analytics to deliver sustainable cost competitiveness.
- Act as the strategic partner to the CSTDO, CFO, and Leadership Team, embedding cost strategy into business planning, capital allocation, and investment decisions.
- Shape structural productivity initiatives across Supply Chain, Sales, and Support Functions, driving end-to-end value creation through efficiency and simplification.
- Leverage predictive analytics, AI, and digital dashboards to generate forward-looking insights that improve forecasting accuracy, margin management, and ROI optimization.
- Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of digital finance systems (SAP, B2B, ERP, and analytics platforms) to enable real-time cost visibility, control, and decision support.
- Champion automation and intelligent process digitization to eliminate manual inefficiencies, enhance transparency, and accelerate reporting cycles.
- Integrate sustainability and innovation into the cost agenda, identifying and scaling initiatives that reduce waste, energy usage, and total cost-to-serve while meeting ESG goals.
- Establish robust governance frameworks for cost management, ensuring compliance with data, cybersecurity, and financial integrity standards.
- Develop and maintain enterprise-wide cost performance metrics and KPIs, enabling leadership to track, compare, and act on productivity performance across business units.
- Lead cross-functional cost transformation programs, coordinating Finance, IT, Supply Chain, and Commercial functions to deliver unified, enterprise-level outcomes.
- Build strategic capability in digital finance and analytics, creating a high-performing team equipped to leverage data and technology for strategic decision-making.
- Serve as the internal thought leader for cost intelligence, providing executive-level insights on emerging technologies, global productivity benchmarks, and financial innovation.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven excellence, promoting accountability, agility, and collaboration across functions and leadership levels.
- Influence global and sector cost transformation forums, representing PepsiCo India's best practices, and contributing to regional and enterprise-wide productivity strategies.
Qualifications- 12-15 years of progressive experience in strategy, cost management, digital transformation, or finance technology within FMCG or multinational environments.
- Proven record of leading enterprise-wide cost or productivity programs with measurable financial impact.
- Deep expertise in ERP systems, analytics platforms, and process automation tools.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving change across complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of cost structures, operating models, and business drivers.
- Expertise in data analytics, automation, and process re-engineering.
- Strong project leadership skills with ability to prioritize and deliver across multiple initiatives.
- Familiarity with agile, design thinking, and digital transformation methodologies.
