Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Knowledge Services team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Associate Director - Risk Consulting (Level F)

We will count on you to:

  • Understand the Risk Consulting value proposition thoroughly across regions.
  • Partner with product owners and business leaders to discover opportunities to help prospects and clients with Risk Consulting solutions and services.
  • Actively participate in client and prospect calls, understand context and consult on solutions.
  • Design client material sourcing information from the context gained through discussions with business leaders, internal information sources and discovery workshops.
  • Adopt a consultative and collaborative mindset whilst building and managing relationships with business leaders, Marsh colleagues and clients across various geographies.
  • Take full ownership of the delivery of client projects, managing all phases from initiation through to successful delivery.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans outlining scope, milestones, resources, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Maintain transparent and consistent communication with stakeholders, including senior leadership and internal teams, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and issues.
  • Monitor project progress closely, identify potential issues early, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
  • Strengthen the value proposition by understanding Global Risk Consultings existing deliverables and client needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to standardize and develop cost effective solutions for clients in the Commercial and Corporate segments.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports, risk assessments, and escalation updates to senior management.

What you need to have:

  • MBA and graduate in Engineering or Technology or Finance
  • Minimum of 8-10 years experience, significant part of which has involved understanding client business issues in a consultative capacity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to engage effectively across levels, cultures and types of stakeholders, with thoughtful points of views
  • Proven track record of managing complex consulting projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • An ability to regularly switch between the telescope of strategic direction and the microscope of day-to day delivery and implementation
  • Enthusiasm to build a career at the intersection of risk consulting and insurance
  • A performance-driven mind-set with an absolute commitment to delivering excellent results for our clients and for our business
  • Ability to adapt quickly, demonstrating resilience and problem-solving under pressure

What makes you stand out

  • Experience in the general insurance industry or risk management space.
  • Experience in creating, communicating and delivering value propositions to clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word for creating presentations, analysing data, and drafting professional reports.
  • Experience working with global stakeholders and cultures
  • Additional language skills
