Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Director - Finance (Record to Report) to work within our R2R function, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and other technical accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical accounting, financial reporting, and audit management, with proven experience in leading teams and delivering accurate and timely financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements under US GAAP (and IFRS where applicable).
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Drive accounting for share-based payments, revenue recognition, business combinations, and financial instruments, including classification, measurement, and disclosures.
  • Ensure proper accounting treatment for complex transactions, including investments and consolidation of entities.

Audit & Compliance

  • Manage and coordinate US GAAP audits, serving as the key liaison with external auditors (Big 4 or equivalent).
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to internal stakeholders and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated with changes in US GAAP, IFRS, and SEC regulations, ensuring timely implementation of new standards.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of 4-6 finance professionals, ensuring continuous development and high performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Tax, FP&A, Treasury, and Legal, to support strategic initiatives and reporting requirements.
  • Partner with senior management on the accounting implications of key business transactions.

Skill & Experience Needed

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, with strong exposure to US GAAP (mandatory) and IFRS (Good to have)
  • Must have handled US GAAP audits independently.
  • Big 4 experience (preferably in Financial Accounting Advisory Services / Technical Accounting) strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial statement preparation, consolidation, and technical accounting advisory.
  • Hands-on experience in:
  • Share-based payments
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Business combinations (M&A accounting)
  • Financial instruments (classification, measurement, investments)
  • Strong people management skills with experience leading teams of 4-6.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
