Your Role: Associate Director – Privacy
As an Associate Director, you will play a strategic leadership role, supporting advisory functions, leading key client engagements, and ensuring seamless delivery across privacy governance, compliance, and data protection programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee end-to-end privacy and data protection programs tailored to client requirements
- Assess clients privacy frameworks, data flows, and controls, identify gaps, and contribute to privacy transformation roadmaps
- Manage advanced privacy assessments including gap assessments, DPIAs, PIAs, RoPA, data mapping, and privacy audits
- Provide expert advisory on global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, DPDP Act, PDPL, etc.)
- Design, implement, and review privacy policies, frameworks, and governance structures
- Drive privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default principles across client environments
- Lead Data Subject Rights (DSR) programs and support breach response and incident readiness from a privacy lens
- Conduct and oversee third-party privacy risk assessments and vendor due diligence
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders (DPO, Legal, Compliance, Product, Engineering teams) to embed privacy into business processes
- Guide organizations on data lifecycle management, consent management, and cross-border data transfer mechanisms
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in privacy, data protection, or privacy consulting
- Strong expertise in global privacy laws and regulations (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, DPDP Act, PDPL, etc.)
- Proven experience managing enterprise-level privacy programs and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Deep understanding of privacy frameworks, data mapping, DPIAs, and privacy risk management
- Familiarity with privacy tools such as OneTrust, Securiti.ai, BigID, or similar platforms
- Relevant certifications preferred: CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- A strategic, solution-oriented, and impact-driven mindset
