Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly strategic and media-savvy Associate Director to lead and grow our
professional services communications practice. This role is ideal for a seasoned PR professional
with deep expertise in B2B communications and strong networks across media, particularly in
sectors such as consulting, legal, financial services, and audit.
The ideal candidate will be a strong storyteller with an analytical mindset, capable of translating
complex ideas into compelling narratives that position clients as thought leaders in their domain.
Key Responsibility:
Client Strategy & Leadership
- Serve as the lead strategist on a portfolio of legal and professional services clients.
- Develop and implement integrated communications strategies to support brand positioning, reputation management, and thought leadership.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders including partners, CXOs, and marketing heads.
Thought Leadership & Content Development
- Drive content strategy, including white papers, bylined articles, blogs, and media commentaries.
- Translate complex, technical topics (e.g., tax policy, regulatory change, industry trends) into accessible and engaging messaging.
- Work closely with internal and client-side subject matter experts to shape compelling narratives.
Media Relations & Stakeholder Engagement
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with top-tier business and trade media.
- Identify media opportunities, manage interviews, and secure high-impact coverage for clients.
- Provide strategic counsel on crisis communications, regulatory issues, and corporate reputation.
Team Management & Development
- Lead and mentor a team of consultants and executives across accounts.
- Ensure high-quality execution, on-time delivery, and strong team collaboration.
- Drive internal learning initiatives on professional services communication trends.
Business Development
- Lead pitch development and proposal writing for new business in the professional services domain.
- Expand relationships with existing clients to grow the scope of work and add value.
- Contribute to marketing efforts such as speaking engagements, webinars, and internal knowledge
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 812 years of experience in a PR agency or corporate communications role, with a significant focus on professional services.
- Strong understanding of the media landscape and regulatory environment relevant to professional services.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and manage teams.
- Prior experience in handling clients in sectors like legal, consulting, financial advisory, or tax/audit is a strong plus.
