Job Description

Job Title: Associate Director

Location: Arekere, Bannerugatta Road, Bangalore, India

Company: King Rose Construction & Services

About Us:

We are a leading general contractor and outsourced services provider based in New York City,

renowned for our innovative projects and commitment to excellence. We are expanding our team in Bangalore, India, and are seeking a dynamic Marketing Manager to join us. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our USA-based staff and service providers, implement and manage programs that contribute to our growth, and be part of a supportive and collaborative team.

Role Overview:

The Associate Director is a senior executive leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, cross-functional integration, and sustainable business growth across the organization. You will work from our comfortable and conveniently located Bangalore office during the evening shift (4:30 PM IST to 1:00 AM IST), five days a week. The Associate Director ensures that all departments operate cohesively to achieve organizational goals, optimize efficiency, and deliver projects successfully. The role involves translating strategic direction into operational execution, strengthening interdepartmental collaboration, and ensuring consistent performance across all business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Day-to-Day Operations Management

  • Oversee the functioning of all departments: Project Coordination, Estimating & Bidding, Procurement, Accounting & Finance, HR, and Marketing
  • Act as the primary escalation point for department heads and team leads as needed
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and gaps across teams and drive resolution
  • Establish and improve SOPs, workflows, and accountability structures across the office
  • Ensure cross-department coordination runs smoothly — particularly between Finance, Estimating, and Project Coordination

2. Project Coordination Oversight

  • Ensure project coordination teams are aligned with NY-based Project Managers and Superintendents on timelines, deliverables, and status updates
  • Monitor project pipelines and flag risks proactively to the management
  • Drive a culture of on-time, high-quality delivery across all active projects
  • Oversee the complete bid cycle managed from Bangalore — from initiation to submission — in coordination with the estimating team

3. Finance & Accounting Oversight

  • Work closely with the Controller to ensure financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance are on track
  • Review financial health indicators across the company and outsourcing business units
  • Ensure client billing, vendor payments, and payroll are processed accurately and on time
  • Flag financial risks or irregularities to the management with recommended actions

4. Outsourcing Business – Delivery & Quality

  • Oversee service delivery for outsourcing clients in Accounting, Estimating, and Cost Management
  • Maintain delivery quality standards and client satisfaction across all outsourcing engagements
  • Work with team leads to ensure capacity planning, onboarding, and client communication are handled effectively
  • Coordinate with the management on client relationship management and renewal discussions

5. People & Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor department heads and senior team members across the office
  • Drive performance review cycles, goal-setting, and career development conversations in partnership with HR
  • Support hiring decisions as the organisation scales toward 100+ people
  • Build a high-accountability, high-trust team culture aligned with the company's values

6. Management Support & Strategic Execution

  • Serve as the Management's trusted operational partner — translate strategic direction into execution plans
  • Attend key client or leadership calls as a representative of the management when required
  • Prepare regular operational reports and dashboards for the management
  • Lead or support special projects, expansion initiatives, and process improvement drives

Requirements:

Must-Have

  • 12–18 years of experience in operations, business management, or multi-department leadership
  • Strong working knowledge of Project Coordination and Accounting/Finance functions — you don't need to be a specialist, but you need to understand how these teams work and what good looks like
  • Proven experience managing large, cross-functional teams (50+ people preferred)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — you will interface with NY leadership regularly
  • High comfort working across time zones in a US-India remote coordination setup
  • Strong organisational instincts — you notice when things are slipping and you fix them proactively
  • A builder's mindset — you are energised by scaling teams and improving systems, not just maintaining them

Good to Have

  • Prior exposure to the construction, real estate, or infrastructure industry
  • Experience working in or managing a BPO, KPO, or outsourcing service environment
  • Familiarity with US business practices, timelines, and client expectations
  • Experience supporting a founder or MD in a high-growth, fast-moving company
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in management, finance, or operations

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary with annual raises and bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health insurance and other benefits.
  • Opportunity to work with a smart, supportive, and kind team.
  • Ample opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Opportunity to travel to New York for training.
  • Work in a dynamic and inclusive environment
