Job Description

Neokred is looking for a hands-on Associate Director - Finance to own the entire financial ecosystem of the company from day-to-day finance operations to capital strategy, governance, regulatory readiness, and IPO preparation.

This is a leadership role working closely with founders, Board, investors, auditors, banks, regulators, and strategic partners to drive sustainable growth, capital efficiency, and long-term value creation.

What will you be doing here

Strategic Finance & Planning

  • Own ABP, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial models
  • Drive product/segment profitability, unit economics, ROI & margin analysis
  • Build scenario models (growth vs profitability, fundraising, IPO, expansion
  • Partner with founders & Board on data-driven strategic decisions

IPO Readiness

  • Lead IPO roadmap, including financial clean-up, disclosures, IFC & DRHP readiness
  • Work closely with bankers, legal counsels & merchant bankers

Cash Flow & Treasury

  • End-to-end ownership of cash flow, burn, runway, and liquidity planning
  • Manage banking relationships, working capital, credit lines & payments discipline

Capital & Investor Management

  • Design capital structure (equity/debt/hybrid)
  • Lead fundraising end-to-end (modelling, data room, diligence, negotiations)
  • Manage investor reporting, covenants, and relationships

Financial Reporting & Governance

  • Own MIS, financial statements, Board reporting & Audit Committee interface
  • Ensure IPO-grade reporting standards, transparency, and audit readiness

Accounting, Compliance & Risk;

  • Full ownership of books of accounts (Ind AS aligned)
  • Oversee statutory, internal & tax audits
  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, RBI & fintech regulations
  • Build strong internal controls, risk frameworks & fraud prevention mechanisms

Fintech Economics

  • Manage escrow/nodal structures, settlement economics & regulatory cost impacts

Commercial Finance

  • Drive cost discipline, pricing frameworks, deal structuring & vendor governance

Systems & Team

  • Own ERP/MIS systems and finance automation
  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team with a strong ownership culture

Who are we looking for

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with prior pre-IPO or IPO exposure
  • 610 years of progressive finance leadership experience
  • Strong exposure to startups/fintech / regulated environments (preferred)
  • Proven experience in fundraising, Board reporting & compliance
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on execution mindset
