About the Role:

The Team:

The S&P Enterprise Architecture office is a newly established capability that provides technology, system and data alignment, control, and insight across all divisions and corporate functions of S&P Global.

The office is orientated around five strategic principles:

  • A Single View of Enterprise Architecture - Develop and maintain a consolidated view of systems, data, and technology assets (current and future state) to support investment and integration decisions.
  • Evolve Common Governance & Standards - Evolve and embed enterprise-level governance and standards building on existing processes.
  • Enable Enterprise-Scale Data, AI, & Agentic Capabilities - Coordinate architecture for AI and agentic solutions to ensure responsible adoption and shared value across business units.
  • Develop Architecture Capability and Community - Build an empowered network of architects across divisions and functions with shared ways of working, tools, architecture principles and frameworks.
  • Deliver Measurable Business Alignment & Value - Enable Technology Value realization and demonstrate clear outcomes such as cost savings through reduced duplication, enhanced Productivity through improved time-to-market, and Efficiency through optimized investment.

The office is newly formed as part of the company's strategy to more tightly align technology, business functions and data assets to accelerate AI readiness of the entire technology estate. The office has oversight of all aspects of technology: from IT and business systems through to product platforms.

The Impact:

As a member of the Enterprise Architecture Office, you will be part of the newly formed S&P EA office. You will support 150 architects across the Divisions, driving alignment between technical solutions and business needs, fostering a culture of innovation, and overseeing the seamless integration of governance processes to support scalable and unified technology, data and product outcomes throughout S&P Global.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Develop a deep understanding of managed data sets and structures leveraged by the Enterprise Architecture Office.
  • Collaborate with the EA community to understand requirements and design solutions for data governance and optimization.
  • Define and implement data integrity rules to ensure high-quality data across the organization.
  • Assist in the integration and automation of data quality processes, utilizing tools like Alteryx, Power BI, and Python.
  • Perform data governance tasks to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance.
  • Develop reporting and automation solutions to support data governance.
  • Ensure high attention to detail in all tasks to maintain the highest standards of data quality and governance.

Required Skills, Experience, and Knowledge

As a Lead for Technology Governance:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related discipline
  • Expertise in Excel.
  • Experience with two or more of: Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data quality and governance.
  • Willingness and ability to gain deep understanding data under management.
  • Experience in data governance and defining data integrity rules is a plus.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to understand requirements, design and implement data quality improvement solutions.
  • Must be willing / able to work hours overlapping with US Mountain Time Zone.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ServiceNow, CMDB and CSDM.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) and DevOps

As a member of the Enterprise Architecture Data Governance team:

  • Ability to enable data-driven decisions to support accurate and actionable data. Attention to detail, within a context of understanding the bigger picture, is paramount for our team. We are an internal team serving internal customers. We collaborate with enterprise architecture stakeholders and data stewards across the organization to provide the data necessary to meet strategic objectives.
  • Focus on managing key metadata sets. Primary examples include Applications, Capabilities, Technologies, Service & Product Portfolio, Locations and Cloud Service Accounts. We work closely with data owners, consumers, and stakeholders to define quality and completeness standards and rules. We also collaborate with source system developers to implement self-service data change requests and revalidation mechanisms to keep data current and accurate.
