Roles & Responsibilities

Commercial & Omnichannel Strategy Leadership

  • Act as a strategic thought partner to brand, field, and digital leadership on AI-enabled commercialization and omnichannel strategy.
  • Shape and evolve end-to-end omnichannel measurement and optimization frameworks, spanning personal and non-personal promotion.
  • Translate business strategy into advanced analytics roadmaps, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities and transformation goals.
  • Field Effectiveness & AI-Driven Decisioning.
  • Lead analytics supporting field force effectiveness, including targeting, sizing, deployment, and implement next-best-action (NBA) / next-best-engagement (NBE) frameworks leveraging AI and predictive analytics.
  • Evaluate impact of field activity, sequencing, and channel mix on customer behavior and brand performance.
  • Partner with Field Excellence teams to embed analytics into operational workflows and decision processes.

Omnichannel Orchestration & Optimization

  • Develop and oversee omnichannel orchestration models that optimize engagement across rep-led, digital, and non-personal channels.
  • Lead customer-level and segment-level analyses to optimize channel mix, message sequencing, cadence, and timing.

Design, Measurement & Experimentation

  • Own the design of robust measurement frameworks to assess reach, engagement quality, conversion, and incremental impact.
  • Lead advanced test-and-learn strategies, including A/B testing, quasi-experiments, and causal inference approaches.
  • Establish gold-standard KPI definitions and success metrics across omnichannel programs.
  • Guide interpretation of results into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Multichannel Spend & Resource Optimization

  • Lead marketing mix modeling (MMM), econometric modeling, and budget optimization efforts across channels.
  • Partner with Commercial leadership to inform investment decisions, scenario planning, and trade-off analyses.
  • Drive optimization of promotional spend to maximize ROI while balancing short-term performance and long-term brand equity.

Advanced Analytics & AI Enablement

  • Oversee development and deployment of advanced statistical, econometric, and machine learning models (e.g., regression, Bayesian, causal models, optimization algorithms).
  • Ensure analytics solutions are scalable, automated, and integrated into business decisioning.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging AI/GenAI capabilities and identify high-value commercialization use cases.

Leadership, Governance & Capability Building

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and data scientists; set technical and analytical standards.
  • Establish best practices for analytics governance, data quality, and model validation.
  • Influence stakeholders across Commercial, Digital, IT, and Analytics without direct authority.
  • Champion a culture of data-driven decision making, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

Skills and Competency

  • Deep expertise in commercial analytics, omnichannel measurement, and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of field force effectiveness, omnichannel engagement models, and customer decision journeys.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical modelling, econometrics, causal inference, and optimization techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytics into clear business narratives and executive-ready recommendations.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to operate in ambiguity and lead transformation initiatives at scale
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on analytical depth (player-coach).

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Data Science, or related quantitative field; PhD a plus.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in commercial analytics, decision sciences, or advanced analytics roles within biopharma or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven experience leading field effectiveness, omnichannel analytics, and marketing mix optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with statistical and analytics tools (e.g., R, Python, SQL) and visualization platforms (e.g., R Shiny, Dash).
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior commercial, marketing, finance, and analytics leaders.
  • Experience leading teams and influencing across matrixed organizations.
