We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Associate Data Consultant to join our
Data & Analytics team. This role is designed for a technical professional passionate about transforming raw data into actionable business intelligence. You will support senior consultants in building data pipelines, performing deep-dive SQL analysis, developing visualisations that drive client value, supporting and developing client's business critical data processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Interrogation: Use SQL to interrogate and mine various corporate databases to support client applications and data processes.
- Reporting & Visualisation: Design and develop consistent, repeatable reports and dashboardsideally using Power BI.
- Pipeline Support: Assist in the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines to ensure data is fit for purpose.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with internal teams and clients to translate high-level business needs into specific data requirements.
- Data Quality & Governance: Review data quality regularly, identifying gaps and ensuring all activities comply with data integrity and security standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Enhance delivery methods to facilitate more streamlined end-to-end data processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with data solutions architects and senior data consultants to deliver high-quality data solutions in a timely manner.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- SQL Expertise: Proven experience using SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of data modeling principles and data warehousing concepts.
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide advice on efficiencies through data-driven insights.
- Communication: Ability to share knowledge and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Visualization Tools: Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar tools (e.g., Tableau) for reporting.
- Cloud Exposure: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Data Stack: Exposure to Teradata, Databricks, Snowflake, or orchestration tools like Airflow is a plus.
