Job Description: Associate - Category Management
Experience: 3.0-5.0 years
As an Associate in Category Management, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic direction and performance of assigned product categories to drive business growth and maximize profitability. Your responsibilities will revolve around effectively managing category assortments, pricing strategies, promotional activities, and vendor relationships to meet and exceed company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competition, and consumer behavior within assigned categories.
- Develop and execute category plans that align with corporate objectives and financial targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, sales, and supply chain to ensure seamless execution of category strategies.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure cost-effective pricing and favorable agreements.
- Monitor category performance metrics and KPIs, and take necessary actions to address any deviations from targets.
- Drive innovation and differentiation within categories through product assortment optimization and new product introductions.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to continually enhance the category assortment and improve customer satisfaction.
- Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and risks within assigned categories.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to communicate category performance, strategies, and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to product categories and vendor relationships.
