About The Team
The Category Demand Management team is the engine room of the category. While Category Managers focus on what we sell and who we buy from, the Demand Management team focuses on how we sell it and when it moves. This team sits at the intersection of finance, marketing, supply chain, and revenue, ensuring that our inventory investment translates into market-leading growth and high turnover. As a Manager, you will not only drive strategy but also lead a high-performing team to execute these goals.
Roles and Responsibilities

- Strategic Pricing & Revenue: Own and drive the Pricing and Planning charter for the Apparel BU to deliver revenue targets at desired profitability (Gross Margin).
- Advanced Analytics: Support business decisions by formulating hypotheses, structuring problems, and utilizing statistical methods to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
- Metric Ownership: Monitor and track key performance indicators such as revenue, item price, conversion, customer count, and inventory health to isolate problem areas or leverage strengths.
- Stakeholder Management: Influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Planning, Category, Marketing, Finance) to align on demand requirements and meet organizational goals.
- Reporting Excellence: Develop and implement robust reporting formats and dashboards that provide a 360-degree view of the portfolio's health for senior leadership.
- Project Management: Work with management to create a prioritized roadmap of needs for each business segment and outline specific data requirements for analysis projects.
- Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 2 analysts, ensuring high-quality output and career development within a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (PG/B.Tech/M.Tech preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 30 months in a data analyst or related analytics role; Minimum 1 year of experience leading a team of at least 2 people.
- Technical Proficiency: * Advanced MS Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, and Python or R are a must.
- Demonstrated experience in handling large datasets and relational databases.
- Planning & Analysis: Proven ability in category planning, demand forecasting, and using data-driven insights to make commercial decisions.
- Stakeholder Management: Must be able to manage and influence multiple senior stakeholders independently.
- Communication: High competency in written and verbal communication, specifically in preparing complex business documentation and presenting results to leadership.
- Soft Skills: Results-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills; able to work individually with minimal supervision in a high-pressure environment.
