Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Equity Research Associate to join our investment team in Delhi or Mumbai. The role involves working closely with Portfolio Managers and Senior Research Analysts to identify and evaluate investment opportunities through in-depth fundamental research and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed industry and company research, including market trends, competitive landscape, and key business drivers.
- Benchmark operational and financial metrics of key industry players.
- Perform financial statement analysis and valuation modeling using various approaches (DCF, relative valuation, etc.).
- Track and analyze financial results, news, and key developments of investee companies and their peers.
- Participate in primary research by meeting management teams, suppliers, customers, and competitors.
- Review quarterly earnings calls, annual reports, investor presentations, and industry publications.
- Prepare concise and insightful research notes, reports, and investment theses for internal discussions and portfolio decision-making.
Candidate Profile
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with a graduate degree in Economics, Commerce, Accounting, Business, or Mathematics.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in equity research, financial analysis, or investment roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated passion for equity markets, business models, and long-term investing.
- CFA Level I qualification or progress toward CFA certification will be an added advantage.
