Job Purpose
- To evaluate lending proposals for corporate entities and approve / recommend such proposals to Senior Credit Risk Managers as per the Bank's Delegation Of Authority (DOA)
- Ensure that proposals received are in line with the Bank's policies and process and deviations highlighted by the business unit
- To provide strong credit support to the Senior Credit Risk Managers in implementing the strategy and business plans agreed by the GM & CEO with the Management Committee
- To assist the Senior Credit Risk Managers in establishing credit controls and monitoring procedures to facilitate business growth with zero NPL as the target
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- To evaluate and approve credit proposals as per DOA in compliance with the Bank's policies and risk appetite
- To recommend / provide studied and balanced credit opinions on lending propositions, to Senior Credit Risk Managers with a view to achieve a quick turnaround
- To have a sound knowledge of the Indian market in terms of knowledge of industries, companies and products being offered
- To apply knowledge of RBI Regulations/ MAS Guidelines that govern credit dispensation, including the Loan Grading, Provisioning and Asset Classification regulations
- To be responsible for the allocated portfolio, actively monitor portfolio for ensuring compliance with covenants and keep abreast of company performance and industry developments
- To assist the Senior Credit Risk Managers in compliance with regulatory, audit and statutory requirements while assisting in inspections and audit (external and internal) inputs
- To assist in compiling various Management MIS / reports for Credit Committee, other forums
- To have a working knowledge of the general Legal framework in which the bank operates in India and apply the same
Experience
- 8-9 years of credit risk banking experience
- Candidates possessing both Corporate as well as FIG underwriting experience will be prioritized
- Within Corporates, domain expertise in Project Finance/Renewable Energy sector and within FIG, expertise in NBFCs/MFIs/ Securitization will be an added advantage
Education/Preferred Qualifications
MBA / Chartered Accountant.

- Sound knowledge of financial statement analysis and accounting policies/practices
- Sound understanding of regulatory guidelines on credit issued by RBI, working knowledge of MAS regulations and local laws and regulations that impact businesses in general
- Knowledge of corporate banking products [specifically securitization offerings in the Indian markets]
Work Relationship
- Interactions with Corporate Banking team
- Good working relationship with HO Credit team, Risk Audit Team, product teams (FIG, GTS, T&M, etc)
- Interactions with RBI inspectors, external regulators and lawyers
