Business Function

Global Transaction Services(GTS) comprises of Cash & Trade, Securities Services and Fiduciary Services.

In an increasingly borderless world marked by burgeoning trade flow, expertise in trade finance services is an invaluable asset. With cash the lifeblood of every company, so too, is a good understanding of how to manage these cashflows. Trade Finance, together with Cash Management, is the mainstay of GTS, and is extended to SME and corporate clients for their local and cross-border financial transaction needs.

In Cash & Trade, you will be part of the product management team that provides seamless and cost-effective solutions to customers. Whether it is through conducting market research, or by enhancing a product or system's features to meet customers needs, you will have every opportunity to shape the business. You will also be exposed to a myriad of Trade and Cash Management products through various marketing campaigns and joint visits with our relationship managers.

Job Purpose

  • To manage and develop differentiated Current account liability solutions for Corporate and SME customers.
  • To develop and offer cash management solutions to partner banks
  • To strengthen the features and functionalities offered in order to attract value-based customers.
  • To develop an acquisition strategy optimizing product value & profitability.
  • In addition, the role will entail additional responsibilities for developing and managing cash management payments & collection products

Key Accountabilities

Grow liabilities business solutions for SME/MSME customers through tailormade and differentiated liability solution as per regulatory & business requirements with consultation of legal, compliance and other stakeholders.

    • Drive lifecycle management of payments, collections, and current account solutions
    • Regulatory & NPCI Engagement
Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement customer centric services/products by understanding market dynamics, customer segmentation & mapping competition matrix. Continuously analyze and update competition matrix
  • Control and periodically check operational risks and workflow thereby implement a sound process.
  • Develop & implement Management Information System (MIS) to control and monitor performance of product, operating expenditure & service levels.
  • Strong experience in cash management + payments ecosystem (UPI, NACH, RTGS, NEFT)
  • Proven exposure to regulatory interactions (RBI / NPCI)
  • Manage fee structure, create opportunities for income generation and minimize revenue leakage

Required Experience

  • Experience in liabilities business for SME customers.
  • Good understanding of the product management process through prior cash management experience of at least 5-8 years.
  • Market knowledge and experience of Cash Management business, with reference to customer preferences and requirements, would be preferable.

Education / Preferred Qualifications

An MBA or Chartered Accountant or equivalent degree is preferable, with 8 years of banking/product knowledge & at least 5 years specifically in cash management

  • Proven expertise is liabilities, cash management.
  • Sound technical knowledge of Product cash management business
  • Good problem solving/analytical, planning & organising skills. Planning, scheduling and monitoring deliverables, within a stipulated time frame using effective methods
  • Good team management skills / working with multiple stakeholders

Technical Competencies

  • In-depth understanding of cash management products and associated technology platforms and operational procedures
  • Experience of dealing with partner banks, vendors and technology providers as well as understanding industry dynamics
  • Understanding of regulatory guidelines on banking issued by MAS and by RBI (local regulations in India) and local laws and regulations that impact businesses in general.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and products.

Work Relationship

  • Possess good working relationship and a high degree of team spirit and cooperation with relationship group as well as service partners in the bank such as Product Mgt, Operations, Finance, Legal etc, so as to ensure seamless delivery of products to clients
  • Establish rapport with our clients so as to win their business, confidence Possess good working relationship and a high degree of team spirit and cooperation with service partners in the bank such as Technology, Operations, GTS - Singapore etc. as well as relationship groups, viz., FIG, EBG and IBG so as to ensure seamless delivery of products to our clients and business growth and smooth functioning of the branch as a whole.
  • Establish good contacts with industry players, particularly partner banks and vendors
