Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President, Record to Report
Record To Report is an important service line within the Finance and Accounting (F&A) advisory practice at Genpact. It gives to a significant part of Genpact's growth and is a priority for the Company. We need strong subject matter specialists to improve our current Record to Report (R2R) offerings and develop new capabilities relevant to our client requirements to drive growth and develop our Intellectual Property (IP).
We are looking for resources who have strong Record to Report (R2R) skills that provides current and prospective clients with leading industry standard methodologies in R2R, solutions to improve their current processes, crafting right fit solutions to continue as a leader among service providers, and actively drive growth of advisory practice.
This position offers a high level of visibility with Senior Client Finance Stakeholders and requires good communication skills and the ability to adapt to different client situations/scenarios and provide quick solutions. This role requires a passionate individual who can gain a big picture view of a company's Record to Report processes and make contributions in the areas of General Accounting/Reconciliations/Fixed Assets/Intercompany/Month close and Consolidations /Statutory Reporting/ Tax/ Treasury related processes by providing transformation ideas in these areas
Responsibilities
Partner with CFOs, Controllers, and senior leadership to identify business challenges, perform diagnostics, and shape solution offerings
Lead and deliver R2R transformation engagements and drive discussions with clients as a Subject Matter Expert
Partner with Sales team to generate revenue for process advisory
Collaborate with senior management in formulating strategies for new revenue streams
Drive transformation initiatives, advisory proposals, and digital finance programs
Facilitate solution identification and design workshops with client stakeholders
Develop and institutionalize standard methodologies, frameworks, benchmarks, and case studies to strengthen R2R offerings
Design end-to-end R2R operating models to improve performance metrics and drive cost efficiency
Conduct process assessments and benchmarking studies to identify process gaps and improvement opportunities
Drive margin improvement and value creation initiatives by identifying quick wins, scaling best practices, and accelerating implementation
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA
experience in Record-to-Report (R2R) processes
Proven experience in leading and executing finance transformation programs
Demonstrated transformational mindset with deep expertise in R2R
Proven experience in consulting/advisory roles driving transformation of Record-to-Report processes
Functional knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Netsuiteetc), with preferred exposure to SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud, and Workday
Familiarity with R2R tools such as BlackLine, Trintech, ARCS, FloQast, OneStream, Workiva etc
Exposure to digital and agentic solutions to streamline accounting and reporting processes
Strong executive presence, with the ability to engage and influence CXO-level stakeholders
Proven ability to collaborate effectively in cross-cultural, global environments
Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Preferred qualifications
Familiarity with AI and automation in finance processes
Experience working in shared services and global delivery models
Understanding of technologies such as Alteryx, RPA, Machine Learning etc. in R2R processes, with the ability to drive transformation initiatives using design thinking approaches
