Oracle is the #1 Database in the world for transactional workloads. The Transaction Processing team develops the transaction engine for the Oracle database. The team consists of a group of highly motivated individuals who form the main pillars on which the Oracle database stands.

We are responsible for core transaction areas (locking, MVCC, parallel and distributed transaction and commit coordination protocols, etc), transactions support for AI Vector Database, developer friendly features like JSON Duality Views, Oracle Flashback technologies and foundational features for Oracle AI Lakehouse. We are also working on applied-AI technologies, cloud services and on a blazing-fast Postgres.

Members of the team have filed hundreds of patents on important technologies, and we publish our work in the best database conferences in the world like VLDB, SIGMOD, and ICDE. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
