Role Purpose

The Lead National legal Collections will be the conduit between collections operating team and Legal collections teams to drive performance through different legal action

The incumbent would be responsible for analyzing the performance trends of the legal tools and keep the teams (Legal & Collections) abreast of the analysis.

Role Accountability

  1. Propose legal collection strategy in consultation with collection operational Heads & Lead Strategy & Legal Team to maximize yield through legal tools
  2. Evaulate industry best practices and effectiveness of the legal tools to drive performance in consultation with the collection operation and the legal team
  3. Identify segments/markets for initiating Arbitration/ Execution/ Notices/ Conciliation/ Mediation/ Police Complaint filing
  4. Coordinate withCentral Legal Team and Collections Leads in identifications of accounts for initiating legal actions (Arbitration and Execution)
  5. Drive money collection through legal actions and gauge the effectiveness of legal tool
  6. Collaborate with Legal team to organize sessions with operating team for better understanding of tools to drive efficiency/effectiveness
  7. Responsible for strengthen legal setup to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness of the legal channel at Pan India
  8. Drive collaboration with other CX verticals to deliver on the Legal Collections operating plan
  9. Conduct competition benchmarking regularly to incorporate best in the class practices and ensure pace with the Industry best practices
  10. Conduct periodic review with Head Collections/Legal of all the key drivers for the vertical to drive Cost Management discipline and focus on operational efficiencies at Pan India Level
  11. Liaise with Local Police stations to file complaints and to handle police complaints against SBIC in close consultation with Legal function
  12. Ensure Collection activities are carried out in compliance with the agreed standards and with the due recognition of the regulatory guidelines and with the overall Operations Risk Framework
  13. Ensure policy discipline and conduct periodic audits for inhouse as well as third party agencies
  14. Perform Cost Optimization analysis and execution for identified opportunities for both pre & post portfolio
  15. Collaborate to work on digitization of legal tool
  16. Ensure timely monthly provision submission to billing teamfor all collection external legal hired resource

Technical Skills / Experience / Certifications

  1. Good Understanding of applicable legal tools
  2. Credit Card knowledge along with good understanding of Collection Processes
  3. Ability to do completion bench marking

Qualification

Preferably a Law Graduate (LLB) or equivalent qualification
