We are inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President - Delivery and Transformation Lead(Data Science).
We are seeking experienced Delivery & Transformation Lead to oversee and elevate our partnership with the client's Data Science vertical. This role will strengthen strategic alignment, drive future-focused initiatives (automation, self-service, scale), and ensure Genpact consistently delivers with foresight, maturity, and impact.
This leader will act as the day-to-day strategic and delivery counterpart to Client Data Science teams, enabling the Genpact Operating Leader to focus on enterprise-wide orchestration, client relationship management, and growth across all client business lines
Work location: Bangalore
Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership & Foresight
1.Act as the primary thought partner to Client's DS leadership, anticipating future needs around automation, ML Ops, self-service, and scalable data products.
2.Identify risks, technical gaps, and architectural opportunities before they surface.

Technical Delivery Leadership
1.Oversee development and deployment of scalable analytical solutions using Client's preferred tech stack (PySpark, cloud Hadoop ecosystems, Databricks-style environments).
2.Ensure robust engineering practices - version control (Git), CI/CD adherence, production-ready pipelines.
3.Introduce scalable processes to reduce firefighting and operational variability.
4.Ensure exceptional day-to-day support while raising delivery maturity

Transformation & Automation

1.Lead automation and self-service initiatives aligned to client's forward-looking expectations.
2.Partner with Tech and Data Engineering to build reusable components and scalable frameworks.
3.Drive efficiency programs that reduce manual work and increase throughout.

People Leadership & Capability Building

1.Build, coach, and scale a high-performing team supporting Client's DS org.
2.Develop talent in ML Ops, Python, automation, and advanced analytics.
3.Shape a culture of ownership, innovation, and credibility.

Stakeholder Management & Influence

1.Strengthen credibility and influence across Client's product, tech, and analytics teams.
2.Serve as an escalation point for DS-related priorities.
3.Drive alignment between Client expectations and Genpact capabilities.

Experience:
1.Extensive hands-on experience in data science operations, ML Ops, analytics delivery, or technology-led transformation.
2.Proven experience working with senior client technology leaders.
3.Strong understanding of ML/AI lifecycle, automation, scalable operations, and analytics platforms.
4.Demonstrated ability to build strategy and execute reliably.
5.Strong communicator with presence, maturity, and credibility.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications:
.Master's Degree: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (MSc, Masters in technology, Statistics )
Preferred qualifications:
.Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
.Experience with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop).
.Knowledge of MLOps and model deployment best practices.
Technical skills:E
.PySpark, cloud Hadoop ecosystems, Databricks-style environments Ability to lead projects independently and deliver under tight timelines.
