Citi Finance is responsible for the firm's financial management and related controls. The team comprises disciplines including Treasury, Tax, Controllers and Financial Planning & Analysis, and manages and partners on key Citi initiatives and deliverables, such as our quarterly earnings process and ensuring Citi's compliance with financial rules and regulations.

We're currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Vice President, Business Analyst Sr Manager - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Officer C12) based in Mumbai, India. The role of Business Analyst Sr Manager is responsible for supporting the overall strategic planning and the control environment processes of the Transformation Tooling and Reporting function as part of COO's Transformation Program Management organization. These tasks may include supporting the creation of senior business and strategic updates, supporting the team's business planning and headcount management process and supporting the team's Risk & Control processes, in all cases while partnering with COO's internal teams.

This role is part of the Transformation Program Management team, within Citi's Chief Operating Officer organization. The COO organization is leading the most critical regulatory & transformation efforts for Citi's CEO, influencing the strategy & direction of Citigroup.

The job requires awareness of Citi's business planning process and Citi's controls and risk management framework and Citi's Program Management policy and standards.

The role requires good flexibility and multi-tasking ability, combined with excellent communication skills and ability to provide analytical insights and process improvement ideas.

In this role, you're expected to:

  • Gather operational data from various cross functional stakeholders to support the team's strategic goals, governance process and executive level updates.
  • Improve processes being supported by exploring and evaluating data sources and streamlining opportunities.
  • Coordinate the execution of the Manager Control Assessment (e.g. MCA, Risk & Control Self-Assessment) as required by the MCA Standard
  • Provide support to identify, assess, record and response to Operational and Compliance Risk events.
  • Support reporting and tracking of business financials and head count process, including support of vendor management activities and compliance with TPM Risk policy.
  • Track real estate requirements and onboarding and termination of resources.

As a successful candidate, you'd ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • Required skills include project management, quantitative aptitude, and the ability to effectively synthesize and communicate complex business issues through concise presentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills to oversee cross disciplinary work streams.
  • Extensive project management and strategic analysis experience.
  • Interest and experience in the financial services industry, in particular in the areas of technology and data mining.
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, Masters degree preferred
