JOB TITLE : ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER

LOCATION : Noida

REPORTS TO : Store Managing Director

JOB OVERVIEW :

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, managing inventory, and helping achieve sales targets. The Assistant Store Manager acts as the second-in-command and takes responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS :

1. Store Operations

  • Assist the Store Manager in managing daily store operations.
  • Ensure the store opens and closes as per company policies.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and display standards.
  • Monitor store activities to ensure smooth functioning.

2. Sales Management

  • Support the team in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Guide sales associates in product knowledge and selling techniques.
  • Monitor sales performance and suggest improvements.
  • Assist in implementing promotional activities and marketing campaigns.

3. Team Supervision

  • Supervise sales staff and ensure discipline on the sales floor.
  • Assist in staff scheduling and shift management.
  • Train and motivate team members to improve performance.
  • Resolve minor employee issues and escalate when required.

4. Customer Service

  • Ensure excellent customer experience in the store.
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations professionally.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.

5. Inventory & Stock Management

  • Assist in stock receiving, tagging, and inventory control.
  • Ensure proper display and availability of products on the floor.
  • Support in stock audits and physical verification.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse for stock replenishment.

6. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and SOPs.
  • Assist in preparing daily sales reports and operational reports.
  • Support in internal audits and compliance checks.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Graduate in any discipline (preferred).

25 years of experience in sales or store operations.

Prior experience in jewellery, will be preferred.

SKILLSETS REQUIRED :

Strong leadership and team management skills

Good communication and interpersonal abilities

Sales and customer service orientation

Basic knowledge of inventory management

Problem-solving and decision-making skills
