Job Overview

The Assistant Store Manager at Reliance Retail will support the management and efficient operation of our retail outlet in Dharwad, Belagavi. This is a full-time, mid-level position, requiring a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 6 years of relevant work experience in retail. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and operational expertise, contributing to the overall success of the store.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in retail operations with proven ability managing day-to-day store activities and overseeing workflows.
  • Team Leadership skills that include motivating, guiding, and developing staff to achieve store performance targets and a collaborative environment.
  • Merchandising expertise, with experience in planning and optimizing store layouts and product displays to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Staff Training capabilities, ensuring employees are well-equipped to perform their roles and adhere to company processes and service standards.
  • Visual Merchandising skills to create attractive and compelling product presentations and displays in alignment with company branding.
  • Customer Service proficiency, consistently delivering positive experiences and effectively handling customer queries and complaints.
  • Sales Forecasting experience, with the ability to analyze sales trends, monitor inventory, and plan accordingly to maximize revenue.
  • Retail Operations (Mandatory skill), demonstrating sound knowledge and application of standard operating procedures, compliance, and daily store management tasks.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail store functions while ensuring the smooth execution of all operations and processes.
  • Lead and inspire the store team, driving high levels of productivity and employee engagement through training, coaching, and support.
  • Implement merchandising plans, including in-store promotions and strategic product placements, to enhance shopping experiences and boost sales.
  • Monitor store inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure that stock levels and product availability align with sales forecasts.
  • Uphold company standards of customer service, swiftly addressing any concerns to maintain high satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members in accordance with Reliance Retails policies and operational guidelines.
  • Analyze sales data and prepare reports for management, while recommending actionable improvements to meet business objectives.
  • Ensure the store environment remains safe, clean, and compliant with health, safety, and regulatory requirements at all times.
