We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Assistant Sales Manager to join our North Sales Team, based in Delhi NCR. This hybrid role requires an experienced professional with a background in engineering and at least 8 years of B2B/B2C sales experience in the water industry or related sectors. You'll be responsible for driving sales growth, managing customer accounts, and ensuring timely order fulfillment and payment collection. The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Growth & Strategy: Drive sales growth across diverse industry verticals in your assigned territory. You will develop and implement comprehensive account plans, meet weekly customer visit targets, and consistently increase market share. This includes driving price increases to improve profit margins and nurturing all opportunities to maximize win rates.
- Customer & Account Management: Act as the single point of contact for customer-related coordination. You will build strong customer relationships, manage their accounts, and ensure satisfaction through product sales and services. This involves understanding customer requirements and offering the correct product and technology solutions.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure the timely submission of technical and commercial offers. You'll work closely with the supply chain and service teams to ensure orders are fulfilled to the customer's satisfaction and that payments are collected on time. You will also monitor and analyze competitor activities in your territory.
- CRM & Reporting: Prepare and maintain all sales documentation, including the Sales Funnel and Client Profile, and ensure all sales parameters are regularly updated on the CRM system (SFDC). You will regularly track sales activities and report to leadership on customer feedback and market trends.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience: A Graduate Engineer (Chemical / Electronics / Instrumentation) with 8+ years of B2B/B2C experience in sales, application, or technical support within the water industry or allied sectors.
- Skills:
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a problem-solving, solutions-based approach and excellent negotiation skills.
- CRM: Prior usage of a CRM system is a significant advantage.
- Personal Attributes: You must be a self-motivated team player with a can-do attitude, capable of multitasking in a complex, fast-paced business environment. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for forging long-term customer relationships.
- Travel: This role involves extensive travel (>80%) across North India and other parts of the region as needed.
