The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and target-driven Assistant Recruitment Adviser to support international student recruitment and partnership development for Royal Holloway University of London India. This role focuses on enhancing student engagement, strengthening stakeholder relationships, supporting admissions processes, and implementing market strategies to drive enrolment growth.

The position requires frequent travel within India and close collaboration with university stakeholders, agents, and prospective students, with a strong emphasis on school engagement and K12 outreach.

Role Summary :

The Assistant Recruitment Adviser will support the implementation of the university's India recruitment strategy by managing student engagement, application follow-ups, stakeholder coordination, CRM management, event participation, and reporting activities to ensure recruitment targets and service standards are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Engagement & Recruitment Support

  • Build strong relationships with prospective students, parents, and education agents.
  • Conduct follow-ups on enquiries, applications, offer acceptances and documentation requirements.
  • Drive K12 engagement and support recruitment activities
  • Deliver high-quality customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Support initiatives to improve student attraction, conversion, and retention.

2. Admissions & Application Coordination

  • Assist in managing application documentation and ensuring compliance with university requirements.
  • Liaise with internal university stakeholders and faculty teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and application status in CRM systems.

3. Market Development & Partnerships

  • Support the enhancement and growth of institutional engagements in the designated region.
  • Represent the university at recruitment events, school visits, exhibitions and meetings.
  • Assist in managing transport and logistics for promotional materials.

4. Strategy & Reporting

  • Contribute to market research and strategy development initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing reports and reviewing recruitment statistics to inform planning.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of UK and India education regulations and frameworks.

5. Social Media & Brand Support

  • Support social media engagement and manage interactions across relevant platforms.
  • Contribute to marketing content and promotional activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a Master's degree is an advantage
  • 1-3 years of experience in international higher education or related environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in school engagement and exposure to the K12 segment
  • Experience in UK higher education sector preferred.
  • Established relationships within schools and a strong network in the K12 ecosystem will be highly preferred.
  • Experience in student counselling and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with collaborative partnerships and institutional engagement.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of international student recruitment processes.
  • Knowledge of admissions workflows, enquiry management, and immigration basics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and database management.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Creative, strategic thinking with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Social media and basic design tool proficiency preferred.
