Qualification -
- M.Sc. post-graduate degree in a biological sciences discipline such as ecology, wildlife biology, forestry sciences, environmental sciences or equivalent
Experience -
- Minimum of 3-4 years experience in the field of Wildlife Conservation and Management
Role Context -
As our PO under RoP division, you will be responsible for day-to-day implementation of the programmatic activities and provide technical support to the team on-ground in project development, reporting, financial reporting etc.
Broad Responsibilties -
- Coordinate with project teams under the Right of Passage big idea and assist Division Head in ensuring project implementation and deliverables is on track
- Coordinate with the Green Corridor Champion teams (conservation partners) on ground to ensure the deliverables committed are received on time and provide technical assistance to them.
- Assist the team in identifying and building more strategic partnerships under the project in the elephant and tiger corridors
- Involve in conducting necessary skill-development trainings of the on-ground teams in consultation with Project Head
- Undertake relevant field visits for monitoring, project evaluation and development of projects related to elephant corridors
- Assist the project head in database management, analysis and reporting related to all the projects in the division
- Assist in developing relevant funding proposals, concepts and publications for the elephant corridors projects
- Develop relevant technical reports and donor reports under the project
- Coordinate with Wild Aid team to ensure the fund disbursement schedule to GCCs are on track and putting timely reminders to the teams for necessary document submission
- Monitor the progress of the ongoing projects of the division on a monthly basis
Skills -
- Experience on working in NGO sector
- Knowledge of ecological sampling, analysis and interpretation
- Experience in ecological monitoring and fieldwork. Working knowledge of analytical software like R, GIS is preferable.
- Skill in organising, prioritising, scheduling, planning and coordinating work; attention to detail.
- Skills in grant management, technical reporting and monitoring and evaluation.
- Ability to multi-task and ability to create and work in a team-oriented, multi-cultural environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
