Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Assistant Professor positions (2 Nos.) in the area of proteomics and metabolomics data analysis at SSBS in Pune. The selected candidates will teach courses in genetics, research methodology, metabolism, bioinformatics, statistics, data science, proteomics, and/or metabolomics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. They will be expected to establish independent research programs by securing extramural funding, publishing in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, and supervising Ph.D. as well as UG/PG dissertation students. The role also includes contributing to academic development and routine administrative tasks.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, along with postdoctoral experience from nationally or internationally reputed universities/institutions. A strong research track record, demonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed international journals indexed in Scopus/Web of Science, is essential.

• Expertise in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or related field
• Experience in conducting independent research and publishing in reputable journals
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to mentor and guide students in academic and research pursuits
• Familiarity with academic curriculum development and assessment
• Ph.D. in Biology, Biotechnology, or relevant discipline
• Experience in teaching at the university level is a plus
