Role Summary:
The Assistant Professor Finance will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, conducting impactful research, mentoring students, and contributing to academic administration and institutional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach core and advanced finance courses such as Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Financial Analytics, Investment Analysis, Derivatives, Risk Management, and related subjects.
- Design, develop, and periodically update curriculum in accordance with UGC guidelines and industry standards.
- Supervise student projects, internships, dissertations, and research work.
- Undertake quality research and publish in reputed peer-reviewed journals.
- Mentoring students and supporting in internship and placements activities.
- Support students participation in industry interactions, competitions, and certifications.
- Participate in departmental, academic, and administrative committees.
- Foster industryacademia collaboration and applied research initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Finance from a recognized university (candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may also apply).
- First Class or equivalent at Master's and Bachelor's level degree (MBA / M.Com. / B.Com.).
- NET/SET/SLET or equivalent qualification as per UGC norms.
- Strong evidence of research publications in reputed peer reviewed journals.
- Foreign degrees if any must be recognized or equivalenced by the competent authority as per UGC / AIU guidelines.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and research orientation.
- Effective teaching and communication skills.
- Well versed in using cases, simulations, finance analytical tools, experiential projects and other innovative teaching methods.
- Proficiency in finance and analytical tools such as Bloomberg, EViews, and advanced Excel models.
