Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

As per the University of Mumbai regulations and SVKM policy, the Assistant Professor will be responsible for the following:

  • Deliver high-quality lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials in pharmaceutical sciences and related subjects.
  • Design, develop, and implement innovative teaching methodologies aligned with the academic curriculum.
  • Guide and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students in their academic and research activities.
  • Conduct original research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and present at academic conferences.
  • Participate in curriculum development and syllabus revision activities.
  • Engage in departmental and university-level administrative duties, committee work, and outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain academic records and assist in examinations and evaluation processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. A Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related discipline with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever applicable) from an Indian or foreign university.
  2. The candidate must have cleared NET/SET conducted by UGC, CSIR, or an equivalent accredited test.
  3. OR
  4. Candidates who hold a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, and their subsequent amendments, shall be exempted from NET/SET requirements.
