Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Academic Duties
- Deliver lectures, seminars, and workshops in areas such as media theory, journalism, digital media, film studies, advertising, and communication.
- Develop course materials, syllabi, and assessment methods aligned with academic standards.
- Use innovative teaching methods, including multimedia tools and practical projects.
2. Research & Publications
- Conduct original research in media and communication studies.
- Publish research papers in reputed journals and conferences.
- Apply for research grants and collaborate on interdisciplinary projects.
3. Student Mentorship
- Guide and mentor students in academic and career development.
- Supervise student projects, dissertations, and internships.
- Provide academic advising and feedback.
4. Industry Engagement
- Stay updated with trends in media, journalism, digital platforms, and communication technologies.
- Build connections with media organizations for internships, guest lectures, and placements.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and industry interactions.
5. Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and institutional activities.
- Assist in curriculum development and accreditation processes.
- Contribute to admissions, examinations, and academic planning.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master's degree in Media Studies, Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred or required depending on institution).
- UGC NET/SET qualification (as per regulatory requirements, if applicable).
- Strong academic record and demonstrated research potential.
- Prior teaching or industry experience is desirable.
