Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Professor in Botany, located in the Pune Division. The primary responsibilities of the role include preparing and delivering lectures, designing course materials, mentoring students, conducting research in the field of botany, and contributing to academic and extracurricular activities. Additional responsibilities include evaluating student performance, staying updated with developments in botany, and engaging in departmental initiatives to maintain and enhance academic standards.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge in Botany and related disciplines, with an ability to teach undergraduate-level courses.
  • Strong research acumen, including the ability to conduct independent research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to advancements in the field of botany.
  • Proficiency in curriculum development, course preparation, and the use of digital teaching tools for enhancing the learning experience.
  • Effective communication, mentorship, and interpersonal skills to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Dedication to academic excellence, continuous professional development, and active contribution to departmental initiatives.
  • A postgraduate degree in Botany or a closely related field; a Ph.D. is highly desirable.
  • Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred but not mandatory.
