Role Description

The Assistant Professor - Computer Science will lead, create, and deliver exceptional educational experiences to undergraduates and postgraduates in computer science disciplines at Amity University's Ranchi campus. This is a full-time, on-site role that includes designing and conducting lectures, developing curriculum, mentoring students, conducting research, and encouraging innovative thought in the field. The Assistant Professor is also expected to collaborate with academic colleagues, contribute to institutional development, and stay updated with advancements in technology and pedagogy.

Qualifications

• Strong academic foundation in Computer Science, with an ability to teach core and advanced topics in the domain.
• Expertise in Data Science and Cybersecurity, with an ability to guide practical and theoretical learning in these areas.
• Experience in Programming, with proficiency in educating students on various programming languages and methodologies.
• Skills in Curriculum Development to design, update, and enhance computer science programs and academic materials.
• Proven research capabilities and enthusiasm for contributing to ongoing academic research in computer science-related fields.
• Doctorate degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (preferred for this role).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage students at different levels.
• Prior teaching experience and/or industry experience is advantageous.
